The Aetna and Humana boards of directors were meeting over dinner at a New York City restaurant. Because of pre-merger requirements, business discussion was off-limits. Our senior executives thought some conversation-starters would be helpful. I lead this project to bring my creative team as well as the creative team from Humana together to solve the challenge of creating visuals to dress the room, that would be conversation starters.
What better topics to break the ice than high points from our respective histories? Aetna’s and Humana’s creative teams (who had never spoken much less met) collaborated long hours on an incredibly tight deadline, and produced a series of banners to get the party started. The work ultimately looked cohesive and something both teams were proud of.
